Electric Engineer

A full-time position at RCEC headquarters, 3162 SH 43 East, Henderson.  Typical work week is Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 p.m.  Successful applicants will join our Engineering Department.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities consist of but not limited to planning and designing an electrical transmission and distribution system, which will meet the projected needs of the Cooperative.

Coordinates with the department manager and schedules builds and improvements as needed. Assist in the preparation of specifications for contract bidding relating to Engineering. Prepares monthly system studies to monitor system performance. Assists in preparing 2 & 4-year work plans. Monitors the progress of the work plans and plans material requisitions to complete the work plan projects. Assists with technical support and lends guidance to staking technicians

in the design and layout of construction projects as needed – particularly with large power loads both overhead and underground with minimum or no supervision.  Assists in the safety, on the job training, and supervision of all members of the crew.  Must be able to lead the crew in the absence of a Senior Lineman or the Crew Foreman.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university required. One to two years related experience desired.

 

Must have a valid Texas CDL.  Salary commensurate with experience.  Excellent benefit package.
