Rusk County Electric Cooperative, Inc. (RCEC) is seeking a driven leader to fill the position of Manager of Finance. RCEC is a rural electric cooperative headquartered in Henderson, TX, with satellite offices in Lakeport and Carthage. RCEC serves over 22,000 meters along 3,900 miles of line spanning five East Texas counties. RCEC employs sixty-one full-time employees, four of whom are under the supervision of the Manager of Finance.

 

The Manager of Finance reports to the General Manager/CEO and manages the Cooperative's accounting, financial, compliance, and regulatory affairs. This is considered a staff position and is central to the strategic planning and implementation of processes vital to RCEC’s mission to provide safe, reliable, affordable electricity.

 

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar discipline. An advanced degree and CPA license are strongly preferred. The individual should have experience in the accounting and finance functions of the electric utility industry, along with prior management experience. The individual should understand GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, financial forecasting, accounting information systems, utility rate design, patronage capital, FERC/RUS Uniform System of Accounts, cash management, cost accounting, and payroll functions. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
